Notice of works: wastewater infrastructure upgrade McLaren Street
GMB Water will begin essential wastewater infrastructure works on McLaren Street during the week of 23 February 2026, as part of its ongoing programmed maintenance to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the local wastewater network. The works will take place along the section of McLaren Street between the southern end of the road and the Gawler Street intersection, within the adjacent linear trail corridor. This project involves the replacement of the existing effluent main with a new pipeline designed to address damage to the current infrastructure and provide sufficient capacity to meet future sewer flow demands.
Notice of works: construction underway on new sewer trunk main for Mount Barker
GMB Water has commenced construction of a new Sewer Trunk Main to support Mount Barker’s growing community and ensure the ongoing reliability of the wastewater network. The project involves the installation of approximately 2.1 kilometres of new sewer pipeline, running from the Laratinga Wastewater Treatment Plant through the reserve that runs parallel to Parkview Drive, Bald Hills Road and Hartman Road, and finishing at Emerald Way. This significant infrastructure upgrade forms part of GMB Water’s long‑term planning to meet current and future wastewater demands while protecting the local environment.
