Connecting your recycled water in Meadows
The recycled water supply must be connected prior to occupation of a dwelling. All plumbing work (both recycled and rainwater) cross connection audits are to be completed and advised to GMB Water by the builder or licenced plumber. Located at the front boundary of each allotment is a Lilac/Purple coloured water meter installed by GMB Water. This meter is tagged and locked in the off position.
Under the Recycled Water Guidelines and direction from the Office of the Technical Regulator (OTR) properties are not permitted to connect to GMB Water's recycled water supply until specific conditions have been met.
For conveyancers
A final recycled water meter reading and a cross connection audit is required as part of the settlement of the sale for properties in Meadows connected to the non drinking water supply.
It is a requirement of the Office of the Technical Regulator (OTR) that, all properties connected to recycled water have a cross connection audit performed prior to the new owners occupying the property.
At least 14 days prior to settlement , the conveyancer for the property sale is required to contact GMB Water by emailing customerservice@gmbwater.au or completing the online form.
GMB Water's plumbing contractor will then be instructed to complete a final meter reading and cross connection audit.
Access to inside and outside the property is required during the cross connection audit.
An invoice will be sent to the conveyancer to include in the settlement.
