Notice of Works: Pedestrian detour between Simper Crescent and Parkview Drive
A major milestone in the Eastern Sewer Trunk Main project will commence on 10 March 2026, with the introduction of the first pedestrian detour to support construction works in the area.
The detour will require the temporary closure of pedestrian paths and a section of the reserve between Simper Crescent and Parkview Drive. These closures will allow crews to safely undertake essential upgrades within the reserve and along Parkview Drive.
During the closure, pedestrians will be directed via a signed detour to the bitumised footpath on the opposite side of the creek, ensuring safe access between Parkview Drive and Bald Hills Road. A map provided on-site and online identifies both the closed areas and the detour route.
This temporary arrangement is expected to remain in place for approximately six months, although sections of the area may progressively reopen as works move toward Bald Hills Road. Reopening will depend on safety considerations and weather conditions.
Clear signage will be installed throughout the area to guide pedestrians safely around the construction zone.
