260526 Bald Hills Road Nightworks Detour V2

Notice of works - Bald Hills Road Night Works

GMB Water will soon commence night works on Bald Hills Road as part of the Eastern Sewer Trunk Main Project, supporting ongoing improvements to the region’s wastewater network.

From Sunday 31 May, preparatory works will begin near Scarborough Way, with intermittent partial lane closures in place. Full construction of the trunk main is expected to follow within the week.

Nightly road clsoures

Once construction is underway, Bald Hills will be closed between Green Avenue and Scarborough Way from 7:00pm to 6:00am, Sunday to Thursday nights,

Detours will be in place during these hours:

  • Light vehicles (cars, small vans and utes) will be redirected via:
    • Green Avenue → Tate Avenue → Scarborough Way
    • Scarborough Way → Penny Street → Green Avenue

Heavy vehicles must contact UHF Channel 28 for direction when approaching the work zone.

The road will reopen daily between 6:00am and 7:00pm, with reduced speed limits in place to help minimise disruption during peak travel times.

Traffic controllers and clear signage will be on site to guide motorists safely through the area.

Duration of works

Nightly closures between Green Avenue and Scarborough Way are expected to continue until August 2026, subject to weather and ground conditions.

Nearby residents have been notified, and GMB Water will continue to provide updates as the project progresses.
